Acne
Most people have spots (acne) sometime in their lives. Acne is common during teenage years and usually clears in the early twenties, however, in some people acne can continue for many years, even into their 40's.
The presentation of acne is easily recognised - acne usually affects the face , but may extend to the shoulders, upper chest and back. Characteristically the person has spots - sebaceous glands are blocked and blackheads are visible. These then can become red and inflamed forming papules (spots), which can then fill with fluid (cysts).
